How to Spice up your Notes.

Do you suffer from boring notes? Are you tired of not being able to figure out what is important for the exam? Does looking at your notes make you want to throw them across the room? Lucky for you, I love taking notes! AND I make them look real nice. It can be stressful to look at messy notes, and it can be frustrating if you're unable to find important points. If your notes are ugly, you won’t look at them. If you don’t want to look at them, you won’t study them. Making my notes organized and visually appealing makes me want to look at them. How you may ask?!

Here are 4 tips to help you step up your note-taking game!

1. Tech

If you are struggling to keep up while taking notes in class, or you don’t like your handwriting, try taking notes on a phone, computer, or tablet! Typing them up is often faster, and you have access to a ton of cool fonts and colors. Typing things up makes your messy notes neat and clean.

2. Text

I’m really “font” of this one. I use this tip the most, because it’s one of the easiest ways to spice up your notes and make things stand out. It’s easy to change up the fonts and types of text you use. For example, you can make headings, chapter titles, or conversation topics bolded. Underlining or WRITING IN ALL CAPS is also really helpful in making things stand out. I like to throw in cursive handwriting to add a little flair when I want to emphasise

an important point. See how easy it is to

3. Color

Color is another easy one. Using felt tip markers, colored pens, highlighters, etc. for each subject, chapter, or topic can make

notes look colorful and exciting. It also helps

you organize and distinguish between topics!

4. Doodles <3

Doodles are not necessary, but I think they add a little something extra! They make them more fun to look at. I love adding flowers, vines, and stars to my notes. Looking for some fun examples? Let me “draw” it out for you. (Lol aren’t I funny?!)
